I have defined the "Seals," "Trumpets," and "Bowls" recorded in Revelation not as a simple chronological sequence, but as a "Parallel Recurrence" that depicts the same historical process from different perspectives (Political, Spiritual, Causal, and Church History). In particular, the "Seven Churches" symbolize the "Spiritual Condition of Faith," from the purity of the early church to the formalization of the modern era. For mobile users, please scroll horizontally to see how the transition of power and the journey of the church correlate across each era and converge toward the end times.

The Seven Seals, Trumpets, and Bowls

【Seals】 (Politics & Power) 【Trumpets】 (Spiritual Warning) 【Bowls】 (Execution & Retribution)
【Stage 1: 30-300】White Horse: The explosive victory of the Gospel. The pure love of the early church. 【Stage 1: 30-300】Fall of Jerusalem: The first blow to the Jewish establishment that rejected the Truth. 【Stage 1: 30-300】Malignant Sores: The "corruption of the heart" in those who reject the truth.
【Stage 2: 300-800】Red Horse: State religion of Rome and civil wars. Power takes peace away. 【Stage 2: 300-800】Burning Mountain: Collapse of the Empire due to barbarian (Germanic) invasions. 【Stage 2: 300-800】Death of the Sea: Conflict turns the Mediterranean economy into a sea of blood.
【Stage 3: 800-1300】Black Horse: Secularization of the church. "Theft" via indulgences and heavy taxation. 【Stage 3: 800-1300】Wormwood: Heresies and idols mix with doctrine, poisoning the water sources. 【Stage 3: 800-1300】Rivers of Blood: Ideology and education are corrupted, leading to death.
【Stage 4: 1300-1700】Pale Horse: Plague and massacres. An era where Death rules the world. 【Stage 4: 1300-1700】Celestial Darkening: Spiritual Dark Ages. Ecclesiastical power obscures the light of Scripture. 【Stage 4: 1300-1700】Scorching Sun: Despotic monarchs burn the people like the "sun."
【Stage 5: 1700-1900】Martyrdom: Rebellion against the old order. An era of "crying out" to the hierarchy. 【Stage 5: 1700-1900】Locusts: Islamic forces shake the church authority corrupted by secularism. 【Stage 5: 1700-1900】Darkness on the Throne: Fall of royal and clerical power; authority is eclipsed.
【Stage 6: Modern】Earthquake: World wars. The old order collapses into a "controlled society." 【Stage 6: Modern】Breach: Floodgates are opened; global forces of evil are unleashed. 【Stage 6: Modern】Preparation: Trapping humanity through pharmaceuticals (sorcery) and surveillance.
【Stage 7: 2028-】Silence: Human governance ends; a profound silence falls upon the heavens. 【Stage 7: 2028-】Kingdom Proclamation: God's direct rule begins. Emergence of the "Royal Priests." 【Stage 7: 2028-】Fulfillment: False Babylon (the current system) vanishes without a trace.

The Seven Churches

① Ephesus (c. 30 - 100 AD)
【Initial Purity】 The era of "abandoning the first love"

  • Characteristics: Under the direct guidance of the Apostles. Passion for the Gospel and pure faith.
  • Challenge: Formalization begins; they lose their genuine passion (first love) for God.

② Smyrna (100 - 313 AD)
【Persecution & Endurance】 The era of being "faithful unto death"

  • Characteristics: Ten Great Persecutions by the Roman Empire. Faith in the catacombs.
  • Challenge: Despite heavy oppression, they remain spiritually pure with nothing to be rebuked.

③ Pergamum (313 - 590 AD)
【Compromise & State Religion】 The era of "where Satan’s throne is"

  • Characteristics: Recognition of Christianity by Constantine. Union with state power.
  • Challenge: The teaching of Balaam (worldly compromise) enters; idolatry and Christianity merge.

④ Thyatira (590 - 1517 AD)
【Corruption & Dark Ages】 The era of "tolerating the woman Jezebel"

  • Characteristics: Zenith of the Medieval Catholic Church. Rule by ritualism and clerical power.
  • Challenge: Spiritual adultery (idolatry) and false prophets (wrong doctrines) pollute the source.

⑤ Sardis (1517 - 1750 AD)
【Formalization & Reformation】 The era of "having a name of being alive, but being dead"

  • Characteristics: The Reformation. Birth of Protestantism as an institution.
  • Challenge: Reform began, but lost its vitality, falling into formal doctrinal disputes.

⑥ Philadelphia (1750 - 1900 AD)
【Mission & Revival】 The era of the "open door"

  • Characteristics: Golden age of world missions. Great Awakenings. Return to Biblical faith.
  • Challenge: Despite having little strength, they kept the Word. Peak anticipation of the Second Coming.

⑦ Laodicea (c. 1900 - Present)
【Pride & End Times】 The era of being "lukewarm and blind"

  • Characteristics: Material wealth and high intellect. Ecumenical (church unification) movements.
  • Challenge: Believing they are rich, while being "wretched, pitiful, poor, and blind." Shutting God out in favor of human-centric humanism.
